The story of Amanda Todd
While watching her suicide video I felt very sad and shocked. I think what happened to her is awful and should never happen to anyone. She made a mistake once because she trusted a person she only new from the Internet and this mistake haunted her for the rest of her short life. You should never rely on virtual friends on the Internet. Nobody deserves such a hatred and such pain. When you are bullied by the Webit is very difficult to find true friends in the real world because everybody believes what is written there. So you are all alone and nobody helps you. And this is not fair. So I think it would be better to get to know someone personally before judging him on comments which are on the Internet.
The best title for her video would be: Don't do ths to other people.

The Circle in My Opinion
In our last english lesson we talked about The Circle. In my opinion The Circle is a project with good and bad sides. On the one hand side it is useful because you are connected all over the world, for example with Eamon you control and watch your home from wherever you are by webcams which show you live pictures of the place where you installed them. Demoxie offers people the chance to participate easier in politics such as elections.That's why more people will cast their votes.
But on the other hand side I think that The Circle has also disadvantages. It holds dangers such as cyber crime. The above mentioned cameras can be used to spy on someone such as your wife and children. A computer freak can hack Demoxie and forge the election results.
To cut a long story short I wouldn't recommend The Circle in reality because the dangers by far outweigh the advantages.

Comment on the cartoon The Evolution Of Communication from the Denver Post
There are five men walking from the left to the right hand side and each of them is busy with words. On the left in the Stone Age he uses a stone and chisels the first written word. The second man is working with the first printing machine in the Middle Ages. Then the development of the media of communication is illustrated in three more steps: the mass publication of books, followed by e-mail and twitter in our modern time. The cartoon links communication over the whole history of mankind, and shows how communication changed through the centuries. Modern man uses only a limited number of characters, he has no more to say. Today it is only tweet,tweet while on the climax of mass publication people really could read whole books with many more letters. So the cartoonist critizises our modern communication, describing it as poor and limited. I think he's right because we use a huge number of abbreviations such as: Lol,Yolo or MfG. In addition we don't address people in e-mails anymore or we don't make complete or correct sentences. So I agree completely with the message of the cartoonist and I think it is a well drawn cartoon.

My name is Felix and I'm 16 years old. I live in a small town near Winnenden, and I'm in form 10 at Lessing-Gymnasium in Winnenden. I like sports of every kind, inparticular football and tennis. My favourite subjects are PE and Geography, and my favourite websites are YouTube and Instagram. Now I will use blogger.com for an english project, in which our teacher wants to teach us about the dangers of the Internet. I'm looking forward to this inourmasly interesting project.
